Mules Snap Losing Skid, Beat Wolves On Flora Homecoming With their backs against the wall coming off three straight losses, Justin Townsend’s Fairfield Mules took a step in the right direction Friday night, spoiling the Flora Wolves’ homecoming game with a 28-14 win. The Mules improved to 2-4 on the year as they try to string together four straight wins to close out the season to get playoff eligible. With the Mules playing a Saturday game this week, my wife Sarah wanted to attend the Mt. Carmel Aces game Friday night to show support for her staff there, and she asked me to tag along to get some shots of the WGH staff on the sidelines. This is how we do date night. Mules Drop Third Straight; No Wiggle Room Left In Playoff Chase Despite scoring 20 points in a five-minute stretch in the first quarter, Justin Townsend’s Fairfield Mules suffered their fourth loss in five weeks Friday at home, with the visiting Carmi Bulldogs pulling away to a 42-26 victory. Lady Mules Take Care Of Business Against Visiting Eldorado Eagles Winning their fourth straight game and third straight in league play, Chet Snyder’s Fairfield Lady Mules easily took care of business Thursday in the Mule Barn, handing the Eldorado Eagles a 25-11, 25-7 loss. The hapless Eagles fell to 1-12 with the loss, while the Lady Mules improved to 19-2 overall, 3-0 on the BDC-East.
