Lady Mules Win Regional With Business-Like Approach Chet Snyder’s Fairfield Lady Mules entered Thursday night’s Regional championship knowing they already had two victories over their opponents under their belts. For the Mules, it was mostly about handling the pressure that comes with being a heavy favorite. Handle it they did, rolling to a 25-14, 25-13 win over the Mt. Carmel Lady Aces in McLeansboro. Rivalry Game Goes To Cardinals In Another Three-Set Battle For Mules The Fairfield Lady Mules have had the NCOE Cardinals’ number in recent years, dominating a one-sided rivalry between the top two teams in the Deep South coach’s volleyball poll. NCOE got them in the Fairfield Kick-Off Tournament last year, but otherwise it has been all Chet Snyder’s Lady Mules in recent years. Lady Mules Take Care Of Business Against Visiting Eldorado Eagles Winning their fourth straight game and third straight in league play, Chet Snyder’s Fairfield Lady Mules easily took care of business Thursday in the Mule Barn, handing the Eldorado Eagles a 25-11, 25-7 loss. The hapless Eagles fell to 1-12 with the loss, while the Lady Mules improved to 19-2 overall, 3-0 on the BDC-East. Lady Mules Handle Visiting Indians In Midweek County Clash In between weekend tournaments, Chet Snyder’s Fairfield Lady Mules hosted county rival Wayne City Thursday, rolling to a 25-9, 25-9 victory. Fresh off winning their own tournament Saturday, and with the Richland County Tournament on deck two days later, Snyder’s squad was able to stay focused on the task at hand, swinging away against Lamar Choate’s Lady Indians.
