Here are this week’s college football lines vs. the Vegas lines. The big match up of course is Georgia vs. Florida. This line has been moving this week, so chances are you could find a number you like for either team. I have Georgia at -4.8. In Washington vs. Utah, the Utes are three point favorites, and I have that game at just a 1.5-point difference. The other top 25 match up is SMU at Memphis, where I have the Mustangs covering. From Nuts To Millions, How To Amplify The Crazy

I regularly listen to On The Media from WNYC, a podcast about how news is covered, deeper looks at topics and themes, etc. It is often inside baseball, but I enjoy it quite a bit. This week, they featured on their feed the latest episode of Trump Inc. This episode was “All The President’s Memes”, which took a look at the Doral convention full of conspiracy whack jobs. You know, the one with the Trump/Kingsmen video mash-up. The episode is full of names I am unfortunately very familiar with, due to them getting retweeted or shared frequently by people who … Continue reading From Nuts To Millions, How To Amplify The Crazy

Mules Finish BDC Play 9-0 For Third Straight Year; Draw Alton Marquette In Playoffs

Facing their toughest challenge yet in their final regular season game, Justin Townsend’s Fairfield Mules finished off their third straight undefeated regular season with a 35-13 win at the rival Eldorado Eagles. The final score looks like a blowout, but the Eagles led early and ran the ball right at the Mule defense with success, but a fumble, a short punt and fourth down conversion rate proved costly for the Eagles. They were 0-for-3 on fourth down attempts, after going 5-of-9 on third down. The Mules were stellar in converting, going 6-of-8 on third down and 2-for-2 on fourth on … Continue reading Mules Finish BDC Play 9-0 For Third Straight Year; Draw Alton Marquette In Playoffs

Lady Mules Return To Site Of Upset Two Years Later, Avoid Trap Game With Cisne

Two years ago, the Fairfield Lady Mules were upset in the Lions Den in Cisne near the end of the season. With that game in the back of their mind, Chet Snyder’s Lady Mules did avoided the trap following Tuesday’s big game in NCOE, and handled Leslie Cordill’s Lions, 25-17, 25-9. Cisne, who entered with a 19-10 record, did not look intimidated by the 28-1 Lady Mules early on. They went toe-to-toe with them for 36 points, giving them their best shot and trailing just 19-17. Fairfield scored the last six points of the first set, however, and like a … Continue reading Lady Mules Return To Site Of Upset Two Years Later, Avoid Trap Game With Cisne

Lady Mules Win Clash With Cards In Battle Of One-Loss Teams

In one of the most anticipated regular season matchups in FCHS volleyball history, Chet Snyder’s one-loss Fairfield Lady Mules knocked off Jaclyn Melton’s one-loss NCOE Cardinals Tuesday, 25-21, 25-23. The two powerhouse squads came into the clash with a combined 57-2 record, and one of those losses was an NCOE loss to Fairfield in the championship of the Fairfield Tournament to open the volleyball season. The matchup in the bowl in Norris City brought with it a hostile environment that a coaching hoping for a test would be envious of, and Snyder’s Mule gals responded by leading both sets almost … Continue reading Lady Mules Win Clash With Cards In Battle Of One-Loss Teams
