How I’m Watching The First Debate

The short answer to the above headline is…probably on tape delay. I suckered my Pops into coming down tonight to help me with a couple electrical items in the house. As of this writing, I’m not sure what time we will be done. But, I wanted to post a couple of resources I typically use before the debates get going, just in case anyone wants to follow along “Weez Style” live. Good Days With A Woman In Need Of Pity

Sarah and I have slightly different sleep schedules. She goes to bed well before me most nights. I’m usually up until 11 or so. Thanks, sports, Twitter and west coast fandom. And since starting the morning classes for MovelevATe at 5:30 a.m., she is up before me most mornings. After the carnage of week 2 with injuries, we are back for yet more punishment and misery. But, seeing two of the first three picks in season-longs go down on the same day is a reminder of why I play more DFS than season long at this point. The Strongest Man in Recorded History: A Documentary on the Life of Paul Anderson

After watching a biography on the father of strongman showmanship last week in Louis Cyr, I had a more modern meat mastodon in Paul Anderson up next. Powerlifting USA put this documentary on the Georgia native. It was most definitely low-budget and about as 90s as you can get, but some of the footage they have of Anderson was just amazing. While Cyr’s story was all that, stories, Anderson came along in the sweet spot of still being old school in nature but during an era with film, rising to fame in the 1950s. Book Nook: The Friends of Eddie Coyle

Want an idea of how many unread books I have in my house, look no further than The Friends of Eddie Coyle. I bought this book when the last season of Justified aired. I just now got around to reading it? Why do I remember it as the last year Justified aired? Well, because it was featured in the final episode of the show, an homage to the series’ title character creator, Elmore Leonard.
