The NFL season ended Sunday with the Chiefs win over San Francisco, but thanks to the stubbornness of Vince McMahon, football season is nigh. Oh My Hammy!: FCHS Alumni 7-on-7 Held Saturday Morning; Draws Three Teams

With Homecoming week wrapping up Saturday evening with the dance, the action returned to the field Saturday morning, with an alumni 7-on-7 passing tournament. Played for the first time, the event drew three teams, with an entry fee of $100 per team. The money will will go toward a scholarship for an FCHS senior, based entirely on need. Two of the squads had sponsorships, with Wabash General Hospital sponsoring one team, and La Fuente helping another with shirts. For the fifth time in six weeks, Fairfield football shut out their opponent, and in their most dominant fashion yet, as Justin Townsend’s Mules rolled to a 40-0 win at Hamilton County Friday. Mules Keep Shutout Streak Alive; Beat Bearcats 42-0

The Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton Bearcats, coached by former NFL star Anthony Hargrove, have been at the bottom of the Black Diamond for several years now. But Hargrove looks to have them moving in the right direction, as they had allowed just 41 points in their first three games.
