Joker Is No Joke: A Disturbing Look At Mental Illness

The Joker character works extremely well as a comic book character. He works pretty well as a side piece to a larger story as the villain, but because he was such a bizarre character, it worked best in doses, without examination of the back story. Lady Mules Win Three On The Road, Move To 22-1

With three straight road wins this week, Chet Snyder’s Fairfield Lady Mules have already eclipsed the 20-win mark, and have run their win streak to 13 straight. Aces Fairfield traveled to Mt. Carmel Monday for nonconference action against the former NEC rival Aces. Mt. Carmel caught them sleeping in the first set and sprung a 25-20 win on them. Fairfield rallied to take the next two sets, however, 25-16, 25-21, to keep the streak alive. Fairfield let an 8-4 lead slip away in the first set. Lady Mules Tennis Hosts Triangular

The Fairfield Lady Mules hosted a tennis triangular Saturday at Lakeside Park, with Richland County and Marion both visiting town. The Lady Tigers edged Fairfield, 3-2, while Marion blanked them, 3-0. They did not play doubles matches against Marion. Against Richland County, Alexis Worthey won in singles play, beating Kira Daniel, 6-3, 6-4, in the number threes match. For the fifth time in six weeks, Fairfield football shut out their opponent, and in their most dominant fashion yet, as Justin Townsend’s Mules rolled to a 40-0 win at Hamilton County Friday. Dominant D The Mules have allowed just eight points total in six games, but they took it to another level Friday. Lady Mules Tennis Nipped By Herrin; Fall To Flora

The Fairfield Lady Mules split singles play with the Herrin Lady Tigers Monday, but dropped two of three in doubles play to suffer a 5-4 loss. Lainie Milner, Brittany Titzer and Tegan Ruhl all picked up singles wins. Milner, playing in the top spot, won 10-3. In the number threes match, Titzer doubled up Jaylan Blake, 10-5. Ruhl cruised to a 10-2 win in the sixes match. Herrin took the top two doubles matches to clinch the victory, with Titzer and Ella Thomas teaming to win the number threes matches for Fairfield, 10-5.
