Lady Mules Open BDC Play With Easy Win Over Winless Flora

Playing in three tournaments already, the Fairfield Lady Mules 16-2 start to the volleyball season included zero conference games. They finally started their BDC season Thursday, hosting the Flora Wolfgals and crushing the visitors, 25-5, 25-8. Flora is winless on the year at 0-10.

Chet Snyder’s Mule gals  held Flora to just four kills in the match, with five of Flora’s 13 total points coming off missed serves by Fairfield.

The Lady Mules allowed consecutive points just once, points three and four for Flora in the second set. Otherwise, the Wolfgals never scored on their own serve.

Emersyn Robbins again led the offense with eight kills, just ahead of Gracie Atwood with six.

Fairfield (17-2) will continue BDC play Tuesday at Hamilton County. They will host Eldorado Thursday.
