Lady Mules Take Care Of Business Against Visiting Eldorado Eagles
Winning their fourth straight game and third straight in league play, Chet Snyder’s Fairfield Lady Mules easily took care of business Thursday in the Mule Barn, handing the Eldorado Eagles a 25-11, 25-7 loss.
The hapless Eagles fell to 1-12 with the loss, while the Lady Mules improved to 19-2 overall, 3-0 on the BDC-East.
Of the Eagles’ 18 points on the night, 10 of them came without having to move on Fairfield missed serves. Otherwise, the Lady Mules dominated in every way possible.
They put down 25 kills in just 41 attacks, with five attack errors. Emersyn Robbins led them with 10 kills, followed by the two sophomores, Gracie Atwood and Kenzie Turner. Atwood had seven and Turner had five kills in six attacks.
Fairfield is entering a big week for regular season action, playing three road games this week. They are at Mt. Carmel tonight (Monday), at Carmi Tuesday, and at Edwards County Thursday. The Aces are 10-6, the Bulldogs are 16-1 and the Lions are 14-9.
