Fairfield golfers Maverick Conrad and Noah McElravy each have advanced to Sectional golf play, finishing in the top 10 individual advancers at the St. Anthony Regional in Effingham Monday.
Conrad, a senior, finished 10th overall, shooting an 84 on the par-72 course at Effingham Country Club. McElravy, a junior, shot an 88 to finish 14th overall.
The top 10 golfer not already on one of the three advancing teams also advance.
The host Bulldogs won the Regional title with a combined 313. Carmi was second at 318 and Oblong was third at 355.
Fairfield finished seventh with a 381. Zach Gualdoni shot a 103, Jacob Britt shot a 106, Chase Hallam shot a 108 and Noah Barger shot a 112.
Conrad and McElravy will compete Monday in the Zeigler-Royalton Sectional.
The Lady Mule golf season ended Thursday in Centralia in Regional action. Katelyn Norton shot a 116 and Sophia Wolfe shot a 123.
