Edgar Allan Poe’s short story The Cask of Amontillado has been read, recorded and performed a million time since it’s publishing in 1846. Audible has one such version of this available for free through the end of today (Feb. 22, 2022).

This one is a performance from Adam Cole and Andrew Ward as Montresor and Fortunato.

Fortunato’s incessant coughing is a distraction in this one, way overdone and beyond hammering the point home.

But, the fun part of this version was that it was recorded in 3D audio. Highly recommend shutting off the lights and putting on some headphones to listen to this one.
