Fab Five Friday–Oct. 28, 2022

Here are this week’s five songs worth listening to. Spooky banjo time! Sarah sent me a playlist earlier this month with some roots/banjo/dark theme songs. It has made for good background music this October. Halloween week is upon us. Steve Earle called the banjo the original social distancing tool. As usual, I am the exception, not the rule.

Tejon Street Corner Thieves–Whiskey

Joshua Quimby–Gears

The Ghost of Johnny Cash–The Devil Never Sleeps ft. Philip Bown

Goodnight, Texas–Jesse Got Trapped In A Coal Mine

Ben Miller Band–The Outsider

The only one of this week’s selections I have seen live.

We’ll be back with five more next week. Until then, remember the immortal words…
“Songs are really just interesting things to be doing with the air.” Tom Waits
