The Fairfield Lady Mules split singles play with the Herrin Lady Tigers Monday, but dropped two of three in doubles play to suffer a 5-4 loss.

Lainie Milner, Brittany Titzer and Tegan Ruhl all picked up singles wins. Milner, playing in the top spot, won 10-3. In the number threes match, Titzer doubled up Jaylan Blake, 10-5. Ruhl cruised to a 10-2 win in the sixes match.

Herrin took the top two doubles matches to clinch the victory, with Titzer and Ella Thomas teaming to win the number threes matches for Fairfield, 10-5.

Milner and Adriana Munoz teamed for the lone win for Fairfield. In the number three doubles match, they knocked off Madison Eastin and Paige Scott, 6-3, 6-4.
