Here are this week’s five songs worth listening to.
I got out of the habit of doing my Fab Five Fridays simply because life got in the way. I’m still listening to new stuff every day, but finding the time to write about it got to be difficult in the two-job world. In fact, my last Fab Five Friday was last September, the week high sports started back up. That is no coincidence. With that in mind, I am going to try to get back into the habit of posting videos each Friday, even if I don’t have time to write up blurbs for each one. We’ll see how it goes.
Sunny Sweeney–A Song Can’t Fix Everything ft. Paul Cauthen
Orville Peck–Let Me Drown
Zach Bryan–Billy Stay
Who’s ready for a good cry?
Zach Bryan–Sun To Me
Billy Stay requires a palate cleanser due to its soul-stopping power. So, we’ll double up with another Zach, a happier Zach. And yes, this is my album of the year so far.
Logan Halstead–Angel on My Shoulder
Has a 52′ Vincent Black Lightning feel, which I have actually heard him cover before.
We’ll be back with five more next week. Until then, remember the immortal words…
“Songs are really just interesting things to be doing with the air.” Tom Waits
