I know I’m late to the party, and this is just between us girls, but Letterkenny is freaking hilarious. I just plowed through all six seasons.
Letterkenny is a Canadian import centered around the everyday lives of Wayne, Daryl, Squirrely Dan and Katy, and their friends in a small town. They are Canadian hicks. Basically, Fairfield with accents. And that’s what I appreciates about it.

It kind of consumes you as much as you consume it. To the point whereupon starting to watch the show, it pretty much takes over how you speak. When you meet other Letterkenny watchers, you speak only in Letterkenny lines. You add S’s to your words. You become convinced you can pull off a convincing Squirrely Dan for Halloween.

Like most Rob Gordon disciples naturally do, I started to think about where it ranks among comedy TV. So, here is my list as it stands right now:
- Parks & Recreation
- Cheers
- Letterkenny
- Archer
- It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
The next tier would have shows like Night Court, How I Met Your Mother (despite its problems at the end), Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Simpsons. So, what would your top five be?
For several years, the only way to watch Letterkenny was by illegal downloads, or having the right friends. It finally got added to Hulu, and season seven this fall will be a Hulu Original, so no more waiting here in the U.S. Bout time they figured it.
Now, to gets some malts vinegars on the tables.
