Winning twice in singles action and twice in doubles action, the Fairfield Lady Mules suffered a 5-4 loss to the Mt. Carmel Lady Aces tennis team Thursday.
Mt. Carmel took the top three singles matches, all in straight sets. Fairfield got on the board in the number four spot, with Lainie Milner winning in three, 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.
The other singles win came from Alexis Worthey in the six slot. She dominated her opponent, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, Mt. Carmel again won the top team match, with Katie Halbig and Lauren Schoon teaming up for a win, after both won in singles action. They got the win when Milner and Ali Hooper had to retire in the second set, tied at four games. Mt. Carmel took the opening set, 6-3.
Karigan Harvey and Brittany Titzer teamed for a doubles win in the number two’s match. They won in three sets, rallying for a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 win.
The final win came from Cassidy Webb and Lainie Kunce, who won the number three’s match, 6-2, 6-0.
