Screwball is a short story on Audible that imagines what if…Babe Ruth was a clueless rube when he joined the Baltimore Orioles.

Billed as the amazing story of the 1914 Orioles, Rich writes Screwball in the first person narration of the Babe, re-imagining the legendary tales of Ruth’s, ahem, escapades, as unwitting, drunken idiocy. It is a 40-minute listen on Audible.

The 40-minute part might be the redeeming factor here. This was not one I would recommend really. Your time could be better spent with a good chunk of any number of music albums. But at least it wasn’t much time.
