Fairfield Community High School held its annual Meet The Mules festivities Friday night, giving local sports fans their first looks at the 2019 squads.
Players from football, volleyball, girls tennis, golf and cross country were all introduced, with the volleyball and football squads providing short scrimmages for fans to get familiar with the teams. Both football and volleyball are coming off record-breaking seasons last year, with both setting school marks for wins.
The football squad scrimmaged first, utilizing the practice field as the game field was resodded in the spring and still wet from rain earlier in the week.
The fresh/soph went first.

They were followed by the varsity boys.

The night wrapped up with the netters inside.

The Mules golf season is already underway. Cross country and tennis will both start their season Tuesday. The Mules football team will open their season Aug. 30, hosting Sesser-Valier. The following day, the Lady Mules will host a tournament to open their season.
